PROCESS
Our process begins with an initial consultation. Here we'll talk about all your ideas, what you're envisioning, and you can also show us any images that inspire you. We suggest beginning the design process at least 3-4 months before your mailing date for invitations, 1-2 months prior if it's day-of event signage or calligraphy. This allows for design, proofing and printing time for printed materials, and design time for calligraphy projects.
After our consultation we'll send you an estimate. If you choose Nib and Pixel, we'll then send you a contract to sign. Once you sign it and send it back to us with a 50% deposit, we'll get to work! We also ask at this stage that you send us rough wording for your invitations. We will show you up to 2-3 design options based on our chats with you and we'll talk about the printing options and materials, too. From there, you can give us your feedback and we can sort out any changes you might have. We then make those changes and send you another proof to review. Up to three rounds of corrections are scheduled and once we have an approved design we will email you an official final proof to sign off on. We can also send you physical printed proofs for an additional charge.
Before signing off, we advise you to double and triple-check that everything is exactly how you want it (layout, fonts, and also punctuation, spelling and grammar). After the final proof is signed off on, we aren't responsible for any mistakes you catch.
At this point, the balance is due. Once we receive that, we are ready for the printing and production stage! This final stage takes from 1-2 months, but we can expedite this stage for a fee.
If you have any other questions about our process, feel free to email and we'll be happy to talk with you about your projects.
